Streaming with Alexa is it local or through the network? Empty Streaming with Alexa is it local or through the network?

I would like to minimize my internet usage (internet cap). I have everything set up with Alexa and my WD MyCloud Personal NAS. When having Alexa play my music from my WD MyCloud is it using only my internal network or is it streaming through the internet?
