Playback: What file formats are supported? Why is FLAC not supported?
OurJukebox uses the audio player which is built-in to your Alexa device itself, so capabilities are limited by what your device allows.
The officially supported file types are MP3/AAC/MP4/M4A at bitrates between 16kbps to 384kbps - anything in this list should work on all Alexa devices.
You may find that your Alexa is more capable than the official baseline - if you discover this to be the case, do drop a note in the forum so others can find out.
If you wish to avoid having multiple files, some DLNA servers offer transcoding capabilities which will do the conversion on-demand. This has not been tested, so please let others know how you get on.
